Together for us means ‘ALENE’ – an unusual name that stands for an exceptionally strong consortium of industry and research partners. The aim of this innovative project is to develop intelligent, grid-supporting storage solutions that will shape the energy world of tomorrow in the long term. Under the leadership of the Fraunhofer IFF, leading players along the entire battery value chain are working together: TESVOLT AG, Fraunhofer IFF, Clausthal University of Technology, Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences, Power Innovation Stromversorgungstechnik GmbH, Harz Energie and morEnergy GmbH.
The intensive kick-off meeting took place in the inspiring atmosphere of the Elbfabrik in Magdeburg, the centre for innovative research in Saxony-Anhalt. The impressions gained there and the palpable enthusiasm of all participants whet the appetite for more. Motivation, ambition and endurance are the essential ingredients that sustain a project like this, and there is plenty of that – above all thanks to the exemplary project management at the Fraunhofer IFF under Christoph Wenge and Stephan Balischewski.
