Christoph Klie talks about grid impedance measurement in electromobility
At the invitation of AstrolKWX, Christoph Klie from morEnergy was a guest speaker at the renowned EMC-ESD Symposium organised by ElaadNL. The event brought together leading experts to discuss electromagnetic compatibility, ESD and, in particular, the power quality (PQ) of modern energy systems.
His lecture with the title:
„Grid Impedance Measurement as a key parameter for good Power Quality and stable Grid Operation“

was received with great interest. The key message: precise grid impedance measurement is a basic prerequisite for stable grid management, especially with increasing feed-in from charging infrastructure and power electronic systems.

Significance for electromobility and the energy transition
Electromobility places new demands on distribution grids. Grid feedback from charging processes and power electronic components is increasing. Only by continuously monitoring the grid impedance can voltage distortions, harmonics and resonance effects be recognised and eliminated at an early stage.

With the ONIS-system, morEnergy provides high-resolution real-time measurements and supports grid operators, OEMs and charging infrastructure providers in the safe integration of new loads.
Many thanks to ElaadNL and AstrolKWX
We would like to thank our hosts and all participants for the intensive exchange – and are delighted that morEnergy is recognised internationally as a technological driving force in the field of PQ and grid impedance.
