Interview with our working student Felix.

Today we have an interview with our working student Felix Hawranek on the programme. Felix has been with morEnergy since summer 2024 and now it’s time to take stock.

Team mE: Hello Felix, nice of you to take part in the interview. Let’s start – what motivated you to join morEnergy as a working student?

Felix: It was clear to me from the outset that I wanted to work in the energy sector in order to actively contribute to a sustainable future. The combination of innovative products and services and the small team at morEnergy particularly appealed to me. I expected to gain an in-depth insight into the various areas and processes instead of only getting to know a small part of them, as is often the case in larger companies. So far, this assessment has been absolutely confirmed and I am very happy that I was able to join the company.

Team mE: What exciting projects have you been involved in so far and what has been your greatest learning experience?

Felix: In my first six months at morEnergy, I have already been involved in many different projects. My tasks were very varied and ranged from organisational activities in the planning and organisation of the grid impedance conference to carrying out the DGUV test for electrical safety and the mechanical assembly of our products such as the ONIS and the grid simulation. In this context, I was taught many useful skills such as soldering and assembling circuit boards. However, I consider the greatest learning success to be that I began to understand the complex structure of our measuring devices through the assembly and the explanations of my colleagues.

Team mE: As a working student, how are you helping to realise our vision of sustainable and stable energy grids?

Felix: As a working student, I actively contribute to implementing the vision of sustainable and stable energy grids by providing support at both an organisational and technical level. When planning and organising the conference, I helped to communicate our vision to the outside world and represent the company in this area. At the same time, I am directly involved in the practical realisation by supporting the assembly of the measuring devices and can thus relieve our development team.

Team mE: What do you particularly appreciate about the corporate culture and teamwork at morEnergy?

Felix: What I particularly appreciate about our corporate culture and the way we work together is the openness and helpfulness of our colleagues. Whether it’s technical questions or support with a task – there’s always someone available and ready to help. Thanks to the small team size, I also get to hear a lot, whether it’s about projects, decisions or day-to-day work. This not only creates close collaboration, but also offers the opportunity to constantly develop and gain a comprehensive overview of the company’s processes.

Team mE: How do you see your future in the energy sector, and what role does morEnergy play in this?

Felix: First of all, I see my future in the energy sector, as I want to play an active role in shaping a sustainable and innovative energy supply. morEnergy plays a central role for me in this, as the company not only focuses on future-oriented technologies, but also offers a corporate culture that promotes innovation and collaboration. I am convinced that I can not only learn here, but also make a valuable contribution to working together on a stable and sustainable energy supply.

Team mE: Dear Felix, thank you for your openness and we look forward to a shared future.
